Enhance Your Reach and Revenue with Microsoft Multiparty Private Offers

Estimated Reading Time: 4 minutes
Intended Audience: Microsoft Partners

Microsoft offers a variety of incentives to Partners enrolled in the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program to enable their success and drive business growth. One such incentive is Microsoft Multiparty Private Offers, now available for Partners with United States tax profiles, which empower Partners to come together and create personalized offers that can be sold directly to customers through the Microsoft Commercial Marketplace.

What Are Multiparty Private Offers?

Microsoft Multiparty Private Offers allow Partners to differentiate their offerings by enabling them to add ISV solutions to an offer instantly. As long as selling Partners are enrolled in the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program and have a profile in the Microsoft Commercial Marketplace, ISVs can send them private offers that can then be sold to customers, and Microsoft will pay both the selling Partner and the ISV.

Through this, selling Partners can maintain existing customer relationships while building relationships with new customers. For customers that have a Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC), every dollar of the sale will count towards MACC as long as they purchase solutions that are Azure IP co-sell and MACC eligible. Any qualified customers can purchase through Multiparty Private Offers, but this can help selling Partners land new customers that have a MACC.

In short, the Multiparty Private Offers process involves:

  1. ISV creates offer and involves selling Partner
  2. Selling Partner extends offer to customer
  3. Customer purchases offer through Marketplace
  4. Microsoft pays ISV and selling Partner

Why Embrace Multiparty Private Offers?

Multiparty Private Offers can benefit the selling Partner, ISV, and customer. Ultimately, they enable customers to maintain their trusted relationship with their selected Partner, and they enable Partners to collaborate to deliver customized solutions to their customers. More specifically, they help selling Partners:

  • Access New Market Segments: By collaborating with an ISV, Partners can tap into their specialized expertise and solutions, instantly enriching their own product catalog and gaining access to a wider customer base and new market segments.
  • Enhance Value Proposition: Multiparty Private Offers allow Partners to provide their customers with a holistic solution that addresses multiple pain points, translating to increased customer satisfaction and loyalty, fostering long-term relationships.
  • Streamline Transactions: With Microsoft handling the financial transactions, Partners can minimize administrative burdens and ensure a seamless experience for both them and their customers.
  • Amplify Revenue Streams:  Through Microsoft Multiparty Private Offers, selling Partners and ISV Partners are both compensated, maximizing revenue potential and growing the bottom line.
  • Gain a Competitive Edge: In a crowded marketplace, differentiation is key, and offering multiparty solutions demonstrates commitment to innovation, positioning Partners as forward-thinking and innovative.

Creating a Multiparty Private Offer

Prerequisites for Creating a Multiparty Private Offer

To be eligible to create a Multiparty Private Offer for customers, Partners must meet the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled in the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program
  • Have a Microsoft Commercial Marketplace account enrolled
  • Have a U.S. tax profile in Partner Center
  • Work with customers eligible to purchase Microsoft Multiparty Private Offers
  • Have a marketplace developer, manager, or account owner role associated with your marketplace seller ID
  • Have an ISV create and publish a Multiparty Private Offer to the Marketplace

While selling Partners need to have a U.S. tax profile set up and customers need to purchase in the U.S., ISVs across the globe are eligible to participate (given that the associated selling Partner and customer have U.S. profiles). Currently, customers in the U.S. are eligible to purchase Multiparty Private Offers, as long as they have an Enterprise Agreement (EA), Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA), or Indirect Enterprise Agreement (Indirect EA).
