As a Business Development & Operations Assistant you will play a key hybrid role across business development, executive support, and internal operations. You’ll support outreach and lead generation, manage projects and communications, and help maintain seamless day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for a digital-first native who is proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and excited to contribute to a fast-growing B2B marketing agency.

IMPORTANT! Only candidates available for in-person, hybrid work in the Greater Vancouver Area will be considered.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Research prospective clients, strategic partners, and market opportunities within the Microsoft Partner ecosystem and B2B tech space
  • Support lead generation through LinkedIn, email outreach, social engagement, and CRM database management
  • Assist in creating proposals, case studies, client-facing presentations, and business development materials
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date prospect and client information in HubSpot and related tools
  • Coordinate meetings, onboarding, and communication touchpoints for new and prospective clients
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts to inform business development strategy
  • Help manage client satisfaction initiatives, including tracking feedback and optimizing engagement

Executive & Administrative Support

  • Manage executive calendars, appointments, and meeting coordination—including occasional personal scheduling
  • Prepare and format correspondence, memos, presentations, and internal documents with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Organize and maintain filing systems, records, documentation, and supplies
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion

Content, Research & Communication

  • Write and proof clear, professional business communications aligned with Maven’s tone, voice, and brand standards
  • Contribute to social media posts, newsletters, website content, and marketing collateral
  • Support the development of testimonials, case studies, and success stories for marketing and business development
  • Conduct research to support strategic insights, content planning, and client initiatives
  • Gather competitive intelligence and support the development of thought leadership and industry insights

Project & Operations Coordination

  • Track timelines, assets, and deliverables across internal and client-facing projects
  • Support planning and execution of webinars, events, and external conferences
  • Help manage ongoing initiatives, collaborative assets, client databases, and task lists
  • Maintain internal resources such as SharePoint sites, project documentation, and procedures
  • Participate in internal and external team calls on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis

Technology & Systems Support

  • Maintain accurate data across CRM, project management, and reporting tools
  • Support the implementation and adoption of new technologies or processes to improve efficiency
  • Assist in optimizing and maintaining business development systems such as HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Microsoft 365

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a business development, administrative, or operations support role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with an ability to write clearly and professionally
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, Copilot)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with shifting priorities
  • Professional demeanor and discretion when handling confidential information

Preferred:

  • Experience in a marketing agency or professional services environment
  • Familiarity with HubSpot CRM and marketing automation tools
  • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and social selling
  • Understanding of the Microsoft Partner ecosystem or B2B technology landscape
  • Research, analysis, and content development capabilities

As a B2B Digital Marketing Specialist at Maven Collective Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in managing marketing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You deliver excellence at every stage of the ideation, creation, editorial, project management, and delivery process. You will use strong strategic thinking skills and interact cross-functional with teams and communicate effectively with clients to deliver continued success across accounts and within Maven Collective.

B2B Digital Marketing Specialists are responsible for helping strategize, design, and execute various digital marketing campaigns using a variety of digital tools and mediums across client accounts. After campaigns have been launched, you will extract and analyze data across multiple channels. This will include website launches, content marketing, events (both virtual & in-person), email marketing, social media marketing, paid advertising, SEO/SEM, brand development, video marketing, AI marketing, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Campaign Management

  • Plan, launch, and manage multi-channel digital marketing campaigns, including paid search, display ads, social media, email marketing, and other mediums/channels.
  • Clearly understand and implement digital marketing campaigns which fit client needs.
  • Optimize campaigns to achieve KPIs such as click-through rates, conversion rates, and return on ad spend (ROAS).
  • Drive experienced performance with qualified lead generation through paid advertising campaigns.
  • Continuously monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies for improvement.

Content Development

  • Collaborate with creative teams to produce compelling ad copy, landing pages, and social media content that aligns with campaign goals.
  • Consistently demonstrate excellence in proficient business and technical writing, within the individual voice, tone and messaging of each client.
  • Develop and implement content strategies tailored to specific target audiences and buyer personas.
  • Create SEO/AEO-optimized blog posts and articles to drive organic traffic and improve search rankings across traditional and AI-powered search platforms.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze campaign data using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Microsoft Ads, Moz/SEMrush/Ahrefs, and social media analytics platforms.
  • Generate performance reports to present insights and actionable recommendations to clients and internal teams.
  • Identify and set up the tracking of conversions at each step of the user journey to accurately attribute results to different marketing tactics.
  • Conduct A/B testing to refine messaging, creative, and targeting strategies.

Strategy Development

  • Perform in-depth research and compile data to identify potential gaps, market trends, and new opportunities to support ongoing strategies.
  • Research industry trends, audience behavior, and competitor activities to inform strategic planning.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate emerging digital marketing trends and technologies into client strategies.
  • Develop comprehensive marketing roadmaps that drive lead generation, brand awareness, and revenue growth.

Technical Execution

  • Set up and manage ad accounts across platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn, Reddit Ads, Meta (Instagram), etc.
  • Implement tracking and analytics solutions, including conversion tracking, event tagging, and pixel management.
  • Ensure SEO/AEO/SEM/Email/Social Media best practices are integrated into content and web strategies.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, copywriters, and developers, to ensure cohesive campaign execution.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions for innovative marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Share insights and recommendations to improve workflows and team efficiency.

Client Collaboration

  • Work in collaboration with a fast-paced team on paid advertising, sales outreach campaigns, nurture email marketing, and other buyer journey initiatives.
  • Partner with teams/clients to define their digital marketing objectives and tailor strategies to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with our internal team to execute specific initiatives and campaigns to meet the objectives of the broader strategy.
  • Provide regular updates and maintain open communication to ensure alignment with client expectations and goals.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Stay updated on platform policies, ad guidelines, and industry regulations.
  • Review and approve campaigns for accuracy, compliance, and quality assurance before launch.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Marketing Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred, or Digital Marketing Diploma.
  • Experience in B2B marketing and technology marketing.
  • Experience with Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Advertising & Social Media Advertising is a must.
  • Experience with SEO and SEM, content marketing is a must.
  • Experience with CMS (e.g. WordPress, Hubspot), MAS (e.g. Hubspot, ActiveCampaign, ClickDimensions, Dynamics Marketing), and CRM (e.g. Dynamics Sales, Hubspot CRM) systems is an asset.
  • Experience with B2B social media campaigns (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and BlueSky) is desired.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google My Business, Bing Places, Microsoft Clarity, and Bing Webmaster Tools is an asset.
  • Fluency in Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, Copilot) is required.
  • Experience leverage AI in marketing (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Synthesia, 11Labs, Akool, etc.)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and collaboration skills, native or professional English required.
  • Agency experience or diverse backgrounds in different roles, and companies, are a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with a cross-functional team.
  • Grasp of digital marketing best practices and emerging digital tools.
  • Comfortable being in a client-facing role and speaking to process and results.

You are a visual storyteller that engages, informs, and inspires. You have an in-depth understanding of elements such as shapes, colors, typography, images, and more to convey ideas to an audience. Sound familiar?

  • Work on various projects and media, using design software to illustrate and develop innovative visual designs that meet business goals.
  • Obtain input from account managers, ensure designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately.
  • Work independently and cooperatively on numerous projects with the marketing team.
  • Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions to improve design capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, or similar discipline
  • Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
  • 2+ years experience (academic and professional) with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.
  • Proven experience with graphic design, with a strong portfolio of work.
  • The ability to take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects is desired.
  • The capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure is required.
  • Experience in animation, videography, and photography is an asset.
