Erica Hakonson, the Principal and Founder of Maven Collective Marketing an award-winning, BC-based, B2B Digital Marketing Agency, is a finalist for ‘Business Woman of the Year’ and ‘Technopreneur of the Year’ at the annual CanadianSME National Business Awards.
Canada’s leading magazine for small to mid-sized companies, CandianSME Business Magazine, is holding the first-ever annual CanadianSME National Business Awards. These awards have been created to give recognition to the contributions small business owners make to the Canadian economy; and they’re to be presented in conjunction with exclusive tech partner, Cisco, and the premier PC Partner, Lenovo, on January 28, 2020 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
CanadianSME Business Magazine Founder, SK states:“The SME industry plays an integral role in Canada’s economy. We want to provide our support and recognition to the entrepreneurs who work hard in making their small business a success. The awards will celebrate entrepreneurial success and excellence in business management.”
The awards will also provide opportunities for businesses, like increasing their credibility to investors, enhancing their reputability to customers and amplifying their chance of being heard in a noisy marketplace.
A panel of 30 select judges has been put in place, each of whom has extensive experience and is an industry expert, with a good perspective on the process of choosing the award applicants. This panel includes some prominent names such as: Lissa Ricci, Vice President of small business solutions for Cisco Canada, Jackie King, Chief Operating Officer, at Canadian Chamber of Commerce and Roi Ross, VP of Small Business Solutions at TELUS. There are 20 different categories offered and 200 companies that have been nominated for the awards. The two categories which Maven Collective Marketing is a finalist in are ‘The Business Woman of the Year’ award, sponsored by Nerds On Site, and ‘Technopreneur of the Year’.
Erica Hakonson, Principal, Maven Collective Marketing elates:“It is an absolute honor and delight to be a finalist for CanadianSME National Business Awards. This recognition as a leader in business and technology in the Canadian market reaffirms the services we have been delivering to the B2B technology market year over year. It speaks volumes to the work we deliver and the clients we work with. I couldn’t be prouder.”
